I bought a blender once at a garage sale for $5. It was from the sixties, chrome with a solid glass pitcher - it was beautiful and worked like a motherfucker. I had it for years and gave it away to a friend when I moved.
This morning a blender that I have had for about six months gave up. Piece of shit. They used to make things that lasted for fifty years, why is modern stuff such total crap?
